Product Description

The Atomic Backland 109 combines a wide, directional platform with Atomic's freeride-oriented touring construction. Its FreeTour Profile uses more poplar wood and less fiberglass and resin, while the poplar-and-caruba Ultra Light Woodcore helps keep weight in check. A full ash wood inlay beneath the binding provides additional reinforcement in this high-load area.

HRZN 3D adds surface area at the tip to support flotation in deeper snow, while the Powder Rocker profile combines substantial tip and tail rocker with camber underfoot. The result is a touring ski with a clear focus on big-mountain skiing, powder and the descent.
