BCA Stash 40-UL Ski Touring Backpack 2027

The Stash 40-UL gives you room for bigger objectives without a big weight penalty. We like its combination of generous storage, flexible gear carry and practical on-the-go access when mountain plans require extra equipment.

Consider Another Option If

If most of your tours are shorter day trips with minimal equipment, the Stash 30-UL is a more compact alternative.

• Longer backcountry ski tours
• Ski mountaineering with additional technical equipment
• Gear-intensive mountain objectives
• Skiers seeking greater capacity without substantially more weight

• Expandable Roll-Top Design: Provides extra capacity when needed, while compression straps help manage smaller loads.
• Side Stash Pocket: Offers quick access to frequently used essentials without opening the main compartment.
• Dedicated Avalanche Tools Storage: Keeps your shovel and probe organized separately from other equipment.
• Side Access Zipper: Makes equipment packed deeper in the bag easier to reach.
• Technical Equipment Carry: Multiple attachment points support ski, snowboard, helmet and ice axe carry.
• Modular Strap System: Removable and replaceable straps adapt the external carry setup to different objectives.
