ATK HY 11 Free Hybrid Ski Bindings

The HY 11 takes a wonderfully ATK approach: machine away anything that is not working, then make the remaining pieces do more. It delivers a lighter route to an alpine-style boot position without carrying a second toe.

Consider Another Option If

Choose another option if you want the simpler interface of a conventional pin binding, need an independently documented certification, or use boots that have not been confirmed with ATK’s spacer and compatibility guidance.

• Freeride tourers who want a lighter hybrid binding with one convertible toe
• Skiers who value a negative walking position for flat approaches
• Customers prepared to confirm boot compatibility and AFD spacer configuration

• Convertible HY Toe: Raises the toe arms for pin touring and rotates them down for an alpine-style ski mode without interchangeable parts.
• Flat Ski-Mode Position: Places the boot flat on the ski rather than maintaining the height difference of a conventional pin interface.
• Negative Walking Position: Allows the heel to drop 18 mm below the toe level for flat approaches.
• HY Brake System: Locks the brake in touring mode and reactivates it when the heel returns to ski mode.
• Machined Aluminum Structure: Uses 22 structural parts per binding machined from 7075 aluminum.

Do I need to confirm my boot before buying?

Yes. ATK documents compatibility with most alpine, ski-mountaineering and freeride boots, but the toe AFD uses sole-specific spacers. Confirm the exact boot and spacer configuration before mounting.
