Mammut Pro 45 Removable Airbag 3.0

For big winter objectives, we like having enough space to pack deliberately instead of playing gear Tetris. The Pro 45 combines that capacity with rear access and a supportive frame, making it much better suited to heavy technical loads than a typical day-touring airbag pack.

Consider Another Option If: Choose the Pro 35 or another smaller airbag pack if you rarely need overnight or professional-level carrying capacity.

• Guiding, multi-day touring and high-volume technical objectives
• Backcountry users who want an avalanche airbag integrated into their touring pack
• Skiers and snowboarders carrying avalanche rescue equipment

• Removable Airbag System 3.0 can be transferred between compatible Mammut packs.
• Full rear zipper access makes a packed 45 L load easier to organize.
• CONTACT U Frame and aluminum frame support heavier loads and external ski or board carry.
• Dedicated avalanche-safety compartment separates shovel and probe.
• Diagonal ski, snowboard and splitboard attachments add technical versatility.

Does this airbag replace a transceiver, shovel and probe?

No. An avalanche airbag is additional safety equipment and does not replace avalanche education, terrain management, a transceiver, shovel, probe or companion-rescue skills.

What airbag system does it use?

Removable Airbag System 3.0.
