Are the Ortler GORE-TEX Pants waterproof?

Yes. They use three-layer GORE-TEX Performance fabric with a minimum 28,000 mm waterproof rating specified by Ortovox.

Yes. Their lightweight construction, ventilation and articulated knees are specifically designed for demanding ski tours.

Can the transceiver pocket replace a chest harness?

The right-thigh pocket includes a retention system, but you should use it only if it meets your avalanche transceiver manufacturer's carrying requirements. Secure the device and practise accessing it.
