Product Description

The SCARPA Crux 2 Women's is designed for climbers who need more precision and rock performance from their approach footwear than a conventional hiking shoe typically provides. Built on a women's-specific last, it combines walking comfort with features intended for technical approaches, scrambling and rocky terrain.

The upper uses 1.8 mm suede combined with polyester mesh. This construction provides the structure and durability expected from an approach shoe while adding ventilation for longer walks to the crag. Reinforcement through the upper and a protective rubber toe help the shoe withstand repeated contact with rock.

Lacing extends toward the toes, allowing you to adjust the fit across more of the foot. On technical terrain, that extra control can provide a more secure and precise feel than the shorter lacing systems commonly found on hiking footwear.

The 2D EVA-MP midsole provides the platform for walking comfort, while the Vibram® Vertical Approach outsole uses Megagrip rubber for traction on both wet and dry rock. The combination makes the Crux 2 particularly useful when an approach involves more than simply following a maintained trail.

At 320 g per shoe in a women's size 38, the Crux 2 Women's combines a relatively light weight with the protection and traction expected from a dedicated approach shoe. For climbers regularly moving between trails, talus, slabs and scrambling terrain on the way to the crag, it offers a compelling balance of walking versatility and climbing-oriented precision.
